Mike Tyson has explained his weird interview with United Kingdom breakfast TV show "Good Morning Britain" - during which he appeared drowsy and slurred his words - by saying he was exhausted after staying up late.
In an appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast, Jones Jr. said that he feels that every rule in their upcoming exhibition bout, which is scheduled for eight two-minute rounds, favors Tyson.
"Hey mate ... I tried to stay up late for interview but fell asleep and like a lion I'm hard to wake once asleep", Tyson tweeted to Morgan after the interview.
"No drawback, Champ", Morgan replied.
"I think it's very wonderful that we're fighting together", said a tired-looking Tyson, who was seen rubbing his head and moving slightly out of camera view on multiple occasions throughout. It was very late in LA.
"I'll ask him (Morgan) when I see him, 'did you get that wrong?'" Graham said.
"I simply wanna do that, I plan on doing this for a charity (inaudible)", Tyson started one response. Appreciate this news as some viewers have been concerned.
Tyson's exhibition match against Jones is scheduled to take place November 28 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Morgan was slammed by fellow United Kingdom journalist Mike Graham for allowing the interview to go ahead in the first place. "I am in the kind of nick you were in 15 years ago", he said. "What on earth did the producers think?"
The 54-year-old has put his physique via a punishing coaching regime to lose 130 kilos in preparation for an exhibition combat in opposition to fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr subsequent month.
