In Douglas County, 2,343 out of the 2,681 cases are inactive or beyond the infectious period, according to Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health, meaning 338 cases are active.
The Jackson County Health Department asks all residents to follow public health guidelines by wearing a mask in public, maintaining social distance, avoiding social gatherings, washing hands frequently and working with health department officials as they conduct contact tracing.
Henry said there were 3,608 people under active public health monitoring who had potentially been exposed to a person with COVID-19.
According to the Health Department's Friday update, 966 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Callaway County this year, and 723 have recovered so far.
Callaway County's fifth death attributed to COVID-19 was announced Tuesday; the fourth October 7.

There are 19 active outbreaks in health-care facilities - 17 in long-term care or assisted-living facilities and two in acute-care facilities.
The number of hospitalizations from COVID-19 also dropped to 74, down from 84 on Wednesday. The median age is 40.
