The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement released city-level COVID-19 data updated through October 12 this week. Addison has had 1,478 confirmed cases, Naperville 1,542, Carol Stream 1,123 and West Chicago 1,302. This total involves both students and staff. There were 12 discharges from the hospitals and the number of active cases stands at 166. Lea and Chaves counties, in southeastern New Mexico, each reported 26. In cases per 100,000 people, Florida ranks sixth.
Oklahoma reported its first child death related to the virus on July 12.
