Joe Concha mocked NBC's Savannah Guthrie for debating President Trump instead of moderating Thursday's town hall, saying she should've been more like a "traffic cop", directing questions from the audience.
Figures released Friday from Nielsen show that Biden's town hall on ABC averaged 13.9 million viewers, while Trump's averaged 10.6 million on NBC.
In a town hall event in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state, Biden was asked by a voter whether the president deserves any credit for his foreign policy, given the recent USA -brokered deals that led to the normalization of ties between Israel and two Arab countries. "Dems said we'll address the CWBA after the election". Trump pulled out of the debate after it was changed to a virtual format. He is also leading Trump in national opinion polls.
The 51-year-old star, who once said he would "never endorse a motherf--a like Donald Trump", denied supporting either candidate and said he would advise "anybody on the planet who has the power to help Black Americans close the enormous wealth gap".
Donald Trump and the “nodding woman” at NBC’s Town Hall
"We make up 4 percent of the world's population, we have 20 percent of the world's deaths". "I was doing them and we had a lot of people watching". "If I'm elected president, the first thing - and not a joke". All this and much more in this episode of the Race to the White House. I can't be in a basement.
"It was a farce as we probably expected because this is the movie we've seen over and over again at these town hall debates", Concha added. Trump subsequently said he would not participate, and the debate was later canceled.
The final debate between Trump and Biden is slated for October 22. Kamala Harris were found to have tested positive for the highly contagious virus.
Campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh also said after Thursday's event that the president "masterfully handled Guthrie's attacks and interacted warmly and effectively with the voters in the room".
