Officials said there were 12 new deaths reported Sunday, while seven new deaths were reported Monday. A total of 6,267 people (97 new) have tested negative in Brookings County as of Sunday, and 40 people in the county (one new) have been hospitalized at some point, the state reported.

Health officials also reported on Friday that there were a total of 55 active cases involving Tanglewood manor, with 10 cases from employees and 45 cases from adults. But that number includes several "focus zone" areas with a high incident of cases. "The Cases are up because TESTING is way up, by far the most, and best, in the world".
The last time MA confirmed more than 1,000 new coronavirus infections on back-to-back days, in mid-May, conditions were improving here and Gov. Charlie Baker was beginning to reopen the economy and was reminding people to be safe when venturing out for Memorial Day weekend.
