This follows the launch of Google's voice assistant on Samsung's TVs in the United States last month.
"The use of voice assistants on our Smart TVs has grown exponentially since Bixby's launch in 2018", said Seline Han, Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
In addition, it is also possible to request weather information, make appointments, play music, and any other type of service available in the Google browser, such as Search, Photos, Maps and Calendar. There will be no additional downloads, hardware, or installations required.
Samsung says that Google's Voice assistant will be used to control the TV directly with commands such as adjusting the channel or volume.
Samsung will be rolling out Google Assistant to its 2020 smart TV line up in India, France, the United Kingdom, and other countries. At this stage it is unclear whether it will land here in Australia or not.
The new models will have Google Assistant built in to the TV meaning the commands will be directed to the TV.
Samsung's voice assistant, Bixby, has been something of a disappointment. Samsung says it will be rolling out Google Assistant support in 12 more countries by the end of the year.
New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) Samsung Electronics has announced that Google Assistant will join the suite of voice assistants now available on 2020 Smart TVs, providing viewers with enhanced control and discovery abilities. We can't imagine that many people would choose to use this when Google and Amazon's popular helpers are now configured. The suite of leading voice assistants is now available on all 2020 4K and 8K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero, and The Terrace.
Searching for content is now easier than ever, as you can use the Google Assistant to search for movies by genre, director, or actor.
And if you're not a fan of Google Assistant, there's no need to worry.
