Speaking about the Apple iPad lineup, Kuo says that the demand for the new iPad Air models has been strong. Kuo adds that the newly launched iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max's demand is better than expected and its sales will likely boost as several countries in the west are heading into the holiday season.
Japanеsе teardown experts Fomalhaut Techno Solutions have released their reports on the bill of materials (BoM) for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, giving us a close approximation of the component costs of building the two phones.
He maintained his Neutral rating and $115 price target on the shares in a recent report.
The report also states that the iPhone 12 is smaller than the iPhone 11, despite the fact that it offers 5G-connectivity, and at 162 grams, it weighs 32 grams less than its predecessor, thanks to a smaller battery and vibrating motor.
China remains the key assembling site, but the country only accounts for almost 5 percent of the parts by value.
Apple is planning to launch redesigned MacBook models with its in-house silicon in the second half of 2021, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reportedly said in a research note. Meanwhile, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with four Thunderbolt ports, 16-inch MacBook Pro, iMac, iMac Pro, and Mac Pro all continue to use Intel processors.
Kuo doesn't mention how Apple Watch's design could change, either. The company owns a soft board technology which the analyst claims will be used in the production of an iPad with a Mini LED display. He expects a decline of 5% to 10% in AirPods sales for the next six months. To clarify, the OLED screens are expected to be launched during the second half of next year while the use of backlight LCD panels will be scheduled for the first half of next year.
