Chris Noth previously appeared in the Season 11 episode of Doctor Who, "Arachnids in the United Kingdom".
Doctor Who has released the first trailer for the upcoming festive special "Revolution of the Daleks". What's more, it showcases the latest design for the universe-threatening pepperpots too. Harriet Walter is on to play the Prime Minister (usually a problem for the Doc and co.), with Chris Noth as John Robertson (back from Series 11's Arachnids In The UK) and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett in an unknown role.
For Revolution, Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor remains where she was at the end of Series 12 - locked in a high security alien prison. Far away, on Earth, her best friends, Yaz, Ryan and Graham have to pick up their lives without her. They all realize that a deadly plan is building up against them. A plan which involves a Dalek. Prior to Barrowman's brief Season 12 return, he last guest-starred in 2010's "The End of Time", and also fronted spinoff Torchwood from 2006-2011. "Even with Captain Jack's help, the gang are set to face one of their biggest and most frightening challenges yet".
At the bottom of this article, you can see a video detailing precisely how the Daleks seem to infiltrate society - they are brought on as a means of "defense", but it seems like those responsible are completely oblivious to their true intention.
Watch the trailer below which shows off the new look of the Daleks. And things will explode. With that, the team may need another hero to enter the fray, which is why this preview does feature the return of Captain Jack!
Doctor Who will air on BBC One on New Year's Day. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
