Since the past three days, the daily new cases added to the country's COVID-19 numbers have been around 30,000.
The total active caseload of COVID-19 in the country dropped to 428,644 on Wednesday. India's present active caseload consists of just 4.51 per cent of country's total positive cases.
The number of daily Covid-19 cases in India reported was at 31,118, one of the lowest in many months, during the last 24 hours as States show improvement in the Covid-19 situation.
India reported over 36,000 new cases according to the official update, on December 2, continuing the streak for the 25th consecutive day of registering less than 50,000 new cases of novel coronavirus.
43,062 cases recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours.
- Following an emergency meeting with the U.S. health regulator's advisory committee, Moderna Inc announced that its COVID-19 vaccine could be approved for emergency use within 24 to 72 hours. The number of daily recovered cases has surpassed the daily new cases since the past five days.
India's recovery rate is now at 94 percent, against the world average of 69.2 percent.
"The total recovered cases stand at 89,32,647".
- As many as 660 patients recovered from the infection taking the number of cured people to 3,13,394, which is 98.06 per cent of Odisha's caseload.
Kerala reported the highest of 5,375 daily new cases, followed by Maharashtra with 4,930. It is followed by Maharashtra with 4,930 new cases. India recorded 35,551 new COVID-19 infections and 526 fresh deaths on Thursday, as per data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Maharashtra reported the maximum daily new cases with 3,837 in the last 24 hours, while Delhi reported 3,726 cases and Kerala recorded 3,382 cases.
