Wonder Woman 1984 crosses 100 million dollar mark worldwide

On the work front, Gal Gadot is set to return as Wonder Woman for the third and final film in the franchise. While Wonder Woman 1984 didn't make almost as much as it would have in a non-pandemic year, it still grossed $16.7 million during its opening weekend. It has passed the collections made by Tenet and The Croods: A New Age. That makes one wonder when and how would the box office indeed see a resurgence as for the first time ever there are several major festival/event/holiday dates available (Republic Day, Valentine's Day, Holi) but no movies slated for release.

Wonder Woman 1984 reunites Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins with stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Robin Wright (General Antiope) and new additions Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters) as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as Maxwell Lord.
