The change in these plans is its validity. BSNL has increased the validity of the Rs 1,999 plan by 21 days. While the Rs 1,999 PV plan is getting an extra validity of 21 days (from 365 to 386 days), the Rs 2,399 prepaid plan is witnessing a massive drop from 600 to 365 days, according to Telecom Talk. This plan is likely to offer unlimited calling without any limit on calling along with unlimited data benefits. The recharge plan also offers access to BSNL Tunes and user can also set caller tune unlimited times. Once the plan is active users will get 365 days of validity and the remaining validity will be added to the plan by January 31, 2021. BSNL with its new plan would hope to rival private telcos like Airtel and Vi (formerly Vodaphone Idea) that also have prepaid plans at a similar price point. Besides, the company is planning to offer 100 messages for 30 days. As mentioned earlier these plans are available only till January 31 and after that telco will take back the revision and the plans will offer the validity of 365 days. This plan is expected to start on January 10, 2021, reports Kerala Telecom. The offer will be visible to everyone starting January 10. Those purchasing this prepaid plan can also make unlimited calls to MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi telecom circles, as per TelecomTalk.
Airtel's Rs 1,498 annual prepaid plan gives 24GB data, unlimited calls and a total of 3,600 SMS. The plan offers unlimited calling facility and 3GB data per day.
The plan also entails a year-long subscription to Airtel Xstream Premium, Wynk Music, and access to online courses from Upskill with Shaw Academy. The telco notes that the SMS or voice benefits under the Rs 398 offer can not be used for outgoing premium numbers, global numbers and other chargeable shortcodes. Needless to say, it will remain valid for 365 days.
Vodafone now offers a Rs 1,499 prepaid plan, which ships with 24GB data and unlimited calls for 365 days. As is the case with all the Vi plans, users will get access to Vi Movies and TV apps.
