Dr. Dre is reportedly in intensive care a week after he was taken to the hospital when he suffered a brain aneurysm, and doctors still don't know what caused it. TMZ also noted that doctors have informed the family of the California-bred artist that they shouldn't expect a "bad outcome" following Dr. Dre falling ill. Doctors also want him in ICU in case, God forbid, he suffers another aneurysm ... if that happens, time would be of the essence.
In most cases, when a patient who's suffered a brain aneurysm starts bleeding again, he or she is rushed into surgery immediately.
The latest news comes after it was reported that Dr Dre, real name Andre Romelle Young, has agreed to pay $2 million in temporary spousal support to his estranged wife Nicole Young amid their ongoing divorce battle. Reports say he signed the paperwork from his hospital bed.
The $US2 million will cover Nicole's legal fees, living expenses and any other costs.
Last week, Dre's home was the target of an attempted burglary.
The money is a down payment on an eventual support settlement for Nicole Young.
A couple of days after he was first admitted to hospital, Dr. Dre revealed he is "doing great". Dr. Dre Speaks From Hospital " Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. "I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team", he wrote.
Then, on January 6, four men attempted to rob Dr. Dre's home after reports surfaced online that he was hospitalized, which meant Dre wasn't home. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. Four people were arrested in Los Angeles last Wednesday night after a pursuit that followed a break-in attempt at his home.
The security guards called police before they could get on the premises.
