Campbell died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 29, 2020, according to her family.
Her last acting credit was in 2002, before she decided to make a career shift to become a naturopathic physician.
The day of her death, Jessica, a naturopathic doctor, visited with her mother and aunt after work seeing patients.
She went on to explain that after she came home, Jessica went to the bathroom but never returned. She was unable to be revived.
The family also added that Jessica had been suffering congestion symptoms and felt like she was coming down with a cold.
Campbell's family launched a GoFundMe on January 4 to help cover memorial and medical expenses, as well as to provide support for Campbell's 10-year-0ld son, Oliver. She performed the angsty sister of faculty jock Paul (Chris Klein) whose girlfriend dumps her and leaves her for Paul.
She shot to fame in 1999 comedy satire Election with Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick. Her family confirmed the sad news and revealed in a GoFundMe page that her death was sudden and unexpected.
Jessica has also worked on Freaks & Geeks and her last IMDb credit was in 2002.
