Just In: Thousands of Boxes of Ice Cream that are locally produced in China are found to be contaminated with Coronavirus.
There were 72 new cases in Hebei province, where the government is building isolation hospitals with a total of 9,500 rooms to combat an upsurge in infections, according to the National Health Commission.
The virologist also explained that the temperature of where the ice cream was stored and its fat content enabled the virus to survive on the tested samples.
Although 4,836 boxes are expected to be contaminated, the Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Company has already sealed away 2,089 boxes of the COVID-19 positive ice cream, Sky News reports.
Three product samples from the Daqiaodao Food Company in Tianjin, adjacent to Beijing, were sent to the Tianjin Center for Disease Control (Tianjin CDC) for testing, Sky News reported. In China, traces of coronavirus have also been found in freshly made ice creams. "Chances are that this is the result of an issue with the production plant and potentially down to hygiene at the factory".

The Covid-19 virus causing global epidemic originated in China and spread throughout the world.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration stated, "Currently there is no evidence of food, food containers, or food packaging being associated with transmission of COVID-19".
The report further added that 1,600 employees of Tianjin's Daqiaodao Food Company have been placed under quarantine and are being tested for Covid-19.
Findings on how the Coronavirus emerged from the ice cream boxes have not yet reported.
Authorities are now in the process of investigating 65 boxes that had been sold in the local market after the positive test results on Thursday (14 January).
Authorities have issued a warning for any resident who may have bought the ice cream, asking them to report their health and their movements within the community.
