Karl-Anthony Towns Posts Devastating Message About Testing Positive For COVID-19

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out indefinitely. "Pray for you baby".

The 25-year-old Towns played in just four of Minnesota's first 11 games this season because of a dislocated wrist he suffered on December 26 in the Timberwolves' second game.

Karl-Anthony Towns has been through a lot over the past year and it's nearly impossible to fathom the heartbreak he has endured. "It's not fair or fair that you were put in this position when you were just trying to do your job. I just wanted to say thank you and thank you for all of your concerns". "Before tonight's game I got another disgusting call that I tested positive for COVID". According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Friday's game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves has been postponed due to the NBA's health and safety protocols.

The basketball star said that he felt compelled to share his mother's story, detailing how he cared for her on social media, so others would better understand the impact of the pandemic. We can not stop the spread of this virus on our own, "he added".

"It breaks my heart that my family, particularly my father and sister, continue to suffer from the anxiety that comes along with this diagnosis as we know all too well what the end result could be", Towns said in his statement on Friday.

The news is another emotional blow to Towns, whose mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, died last April from COVID-19 complications.

"To my niece and nephew, Jolani and Max, I promise you that I won't end up in a box alongside Grandma and that I will beat him", he continued.
