Norway finds no direct link between elderly deaths and vaccine

The vaccine manufacturer is making upgrades to its European facility to increase the number of doses it can produce.
European Union chief Ursula von der Leyen said Pfizer's CEO had guaranteed the delivery of all doses of the coronavirus ordered by the bloc for the first quarter of 2021.
This means City of Ottawa officials are unsure how many more doses the capital will be getting.
He said the development in Norway was important to consider, but the vaccine had already "been safely administered to millions of people".
Australia has ordered 10 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
"I think you're going to have a very striking backlash of: "My grandmother got the vaccine and she passed away", she said. Larger shipments are expected in late February and early March, Elliott said.
"It's out of our hands", said the excuse-making prime minister, never mind how this development undercut his claim that Canada is a world-leader in securing "the very best portfolio of potential vaccines".
Dr. David Williams, Ontario's chief medical officer of health, issued new instructions over the weekend for the second Pfizer dose. Ontario still anticipates hitting its first target of inoculating 61,500 long-term care residents, staff and primary caregivers by Thursday. Thus, "for those who have a very short remaining life span anyway, the benefit of the vaccine may be marginal or irrelevant".
The number of casualties among those over the age of 75 in Norway who received their first Covid-19 vaccine shot recently, has risen to 29.
"It could be as simple as the fact that the more frail, older people may need to get a different vaccine that's a bit gentler, or there may be some adjustment in the way the vaccines are administered", Dr Vally said.
"There is no change in our timeframes at this point, but the medical regulator is completely empowered to make independent decisions".
The Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are investigating these worries with Norwegian authorities.
About 13 people in Israel have developed facial paralysis after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
Minister Hunt is hopeful they will have some answers soon. It continue to review two more COVID-19 vaccines, from AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, but neither is expected to complete the review process in Canada for at least several more weeks. CTV News can confirm that the Valley Stream Retirement Residence in Nepean has received vaccines.
"Those at the highest risk of Covid-19 complications, whether due to their elderly age and/or underlying chronic illnesses, are now prioritised for vaccination".
