First, Gurman shares more details about Coming Back MagSafe Shipping to MacBook Pro indicates that it will indeed be a design similar to the previous "MagSafe" incarnation on Mac laptops.
The rumors of Apple intending to launch MacBook pro 16 and 14 have been doing the rounds as well. Foolishness Bloomberg It does not specify if the diagonals will remain the same (and why not a 32-inch iMac like the Pro-Display XDR?). The feature's removal is said to be part of a broader redesign of the MacBook Pro that will bring a "flat edge" chassis with squared-off sides. Apple chips for Mac are based on the ARM architecture whereas Intel chips are based on the x86 architecture. MagSafe is one of those cool, unique Apple innovations that made the company's products special, and many users - me included - were sad to see it gone.
What's New for the MacBook in 2021?
Apple has extended its Display Backlight Service Program for 13-inch MacBook Pro models from four to five years.
The upcoming laptops will feature the most significant design changes in Apple's MacBook Pro flagships since 2016. This alone will make for the most significant design change that Apple has brought to its MacBook Pro lineup in nearly two decades, as curved edges have been a classic Apple design since the first aluminum PowerBook debuted back in 2003. We are also promised thinner bezels around the screen. So, as per a few of them, this may merely be a software program downside as many customers reported that they began experiencing this difficulty exclusively after upgrading to the newest macOS 11.1 Big Sur replace. Bloomberg says that the revitalized MagSafe for new notebooks will also offer faster charging versus USB-C, in addition to those other benefits. While it's unlikely that these would return, at least some of them are still conspicuous omissions for many users. The second version will use homemade chips, in one case half the size of the aluminum Mac Pro. Apple is done with Intel. Apple is expected to introduce a more powerful than M1 processor for these Pro machines, with more cores, more powerful GPU, and more on-die memory than available now.
No doubt Apple waited to have its own processors review the entire iMac design which hasn't changed since 2012.
He adds that besides removing the Touch Bar, another major change will come in the form of MagSafe charging support, something that was introduced with iPhone 12 line up.
