If the present follows the books, then the second season will give attention to eldest son Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).
Nicola Coughlan, who plays the darling Penelope Featherington, has her own plans: She told Radio Times she, too, would come back for more-especially if Penelope gets more screen time. "I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion", she wrote.

The TV series' first season was based on Julia Quinn's novel, "The Duke and I", which focuses on the budding love story between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset/Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). "But I'm so excited to meet her!"
Leading up to a second season, Van Dusen hinted that he'd love the opportunity to focus on each of the Bridgerton children. "Bridgerton" is returning for season two, only on Netflix".
The show, which debuted on December 25, is on track to be watched by 63M households across its first 28 days, making it Netflix's fifth biggest original series launch.
Though Bridgerton is the most recent, it is the second major series over the past year that has been subject to having its sex scenes ripped from streaming services to be posted on explicit sites. While the courtship makes Daphne appear more desirable to other suitors, Simon is able to cease the constant bombardment of eligible women who want to court with him.
