Those seven public health units are Grey Bruce; Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge; Hastings and Prince Edward Counties; Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington; Leeds, Grenville and Lanark; Peterborough; and Renfrew County.
Molly Kingsley, co-founder of the parent campaign group UsForThem, said that the situation is becoming "intolerable" for many families, particularly following the Education Secretary's comments about an Easter return to school.

But the chairman acknowledged the relief at the prospect of local students being able to return to school. The Middlesex London Health Unit and Southwestern Public Health Unit, which covers school boards in the London area, were not on the list.
"Teachers and education workers would be more than happy to help the government by offering our firsthand perspectives on how to implement effective health and safety protocols and maximize student learning", Stuart said.
Those include students in Grades 1 to 3 are now also required to wear masks on the bus and at school. And the province is also introducing "provincewide targeted asymptomatic testing" and enhanced screening, the Ministry of Education said.
"It has been a very hard ride for some of these parents and some of these kids", said McAllister. "According to Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health and leading medical and scientific experts, including the Hospital for Sick Children, Ontario's schools are safe places for learning".
"We definitely want kids to be in school".
Secondary students at VSB schools are using a four-term school year, with two classes taught per term.
"There was so much transmission that we felt at that point, going into a lockdown, it would be safer to keep keep them at home", Yaffe said.
