Apple Fitness+: Apple Fitness+ subscribers can enjoy a collection of themed workouts, featuring all Black artists across Cycling, Dance, High Intensity Interval Training, Strength, Yoga, and Treadmill.
In addition, the new update unlocks the electrocardiogram (ECG) and irregular heart rate rhythm features for Apple Watch Series 4 and above in Japan, Mayotte, the Philippines, and Thailand. For Apple, it's one of those things that might just make its Apple Fitness+ program a little more enjoyable, so it's adding it to the assortment of things you can do.
Time to Walk promises interesting and encouraging audio stories to liven up walking for exercise.
For many, walking is a more enjoyable way to get their fitness on, and it's certainly one that we can share with others.
The update includes several notable features like a new Unity Watch Face collection to celebrate Black History Month, "Time to Walk" Fitness+ recordings from several notable celebrities and ECG in more regions around the world. "And while many of us feel confined during this time, I'm hopeful that people will take a walk down memory lane with me and we can all feel a little more freedom taking the time to walk together".
The Apple Fitness+ service was launched last month, and offers a host of studio and gym workouts led by expert trainers all tracked by the Apple Watch.
"Even throughout this challenging period of time, one activity that has remained available to many is walking". But it does have a novice feel to it, and these walking workouts add to that picture. Apple says it will publish new episodes every Monday through April 2021.
Emmy Award victor Uzo Aduba found stardom on the series, "Orange Is the New Black", but only after many rejections.
The nine-time Grammy victor looked back at her close relationship with her father, who was illiterate. "I love walking either by myself or with my dog", Aduba says. This week, the company is bringing a feature called Time to Walk. The experience of walking and telling my stories gave me that familiar feeling that walking brings, answering questions that need to be answered, and addressing topics that need to be addressed. I look forward to trying Time to Walk, which have not yet appeared on my Apple Watch or iPhone. Once Time to Walk episodes are downloaded, a WiFi or cellular connection is not required. The new Apple Watch Unity band will be available separately for $49, the usual cost of a band.
With so numerous world's population living under lockdown rules, this new focus on walking by Apple could be just the ticket. "I'm so excited to share that with those who take the time to walk with me".
