Google says its Pay app will work at over 100,000 restaurants, 30,000 gas stations and 400 cities' parking meters.
The new app also moves into Venmo territory by letting users send payments to others and enables contactless payments in stores.
The new Google Pay app is already rolling out on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for users in the United States and will arrive in other regions in the coming months.
