Starting in the USA, we're launching a redesigned Google Pay app on Android and iOS. Google Pay will also allow you to buy food, and whatever comes to mind.
Google says its Pay app will work at over 100,000 restaurants, 30,000 gas stations and 400 cities' parking meters.
The new app also moves into Venmo territory by letting users send payments to others and enables contactless payments in stores.
The new Google Pay app is already rolling out on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for users in the United States and will arrive in other regions in the coming months. To improve Insights, the app presents you with an opt-in choice: incorporate receipts from Gmail and Google Photos, by linking accounts. "And in 2021, it will give you the chance to apply for a new kind of digital bank account with trusted financial institutions".
Google Pay added three new tabs that show transaction history, offer deals and discounts, and connect users' bank accounts to allow them to find an overview of their finances and peer-to-peer payments.
Double down on cashback + Activate offers and get cashback for redeeming them - whether you use Google Pay or your plastic card.
The offering is Citi's first bundled savings and checking account. "But there's so much more we can do", general manager for Google Pay Caesar Sengupta said.
Features available in India: Make UPI transfers or do mobile recharges, bills and payments to businesses with your bank account with Google Pay.
All your transactions, all together + With your permission, you can see activity from accounts you've linked.
A lot of banks charge "management fees" to run an account with them. Managing our finances is too hard for most Americans today. "Google Pay will even help you do the math on who owes what", Google explained in a blog post. At the start of the week, for example, Pay will show things like "here's what you spent on this weekend, ' Woodward said". This time we will be helping you with paying electricity bills via Google Pay on smartphones.
Now, users can make payments based on their contact list, search for local retailers that accept Google Pay, and in some cases, allow users to order meals directly from the app.
"Mastercard will provide this service in cooperation with various issuers and fintechs including but not limited to Banca Transilvania, Bunq, CEC Bank, Curve, LHV Pank, Monese, N26, Paynetics, Revolut, Swedbank, Unicredit Bank Romania, and Viva Wallet".
