How to Move your WhatsApp Chats to Telegram on Android & iOS

As more and more digital users are signing up on the messaging app Telegram after WhatsApp's data-sharing policy change, it has started rolling out new features to retain its customers. The close-to-conclude encrypted messaging app noticed huge downloads across each iOS and Android platforms. Although some iOS users (including members from our own team) were still able to migrate chat from WhatsApp to Telegram v7.4.1, it appeared that the company was still improving the feature. This means encryption is not enabled by default for most chats on the app. Telegram only encrypts user-to-server connections, unlike WhatsApp and Signal who encrypt user-to-user connections. It lets you delete group massages, individual massages and call history for both parties at once.
Telegram even added WhatsApp chat export feature for both Android and iOS. The policy change led to a wave of users believing it was a grab for personal data by Facebook, which then led to a mass exodus of users onto other privacy-focused services. However, users have the choice of bringing in WhatsApp chat accounts with or without their pictures.
"In response to the WhatsApp "take it or leave it policy", consumers ascribed a range of emotions ranging from feeling angry (49 per cent), to not trusting WhatsApp ever again (45 per cent), to feeling a breach of trust (35 per cent)", as per the report.

Telegram recently witnessed its globally active consumer base crossing the mark of 500 million. This is how you can transfer chat history from WhatsApp to Telegram.
Telegram also has an improved audio player where when a track is playing, tap the author name in the player to see their tracks from all your chats.
Now, select Telegram and click Import when prompted. WhatsApp will then create a zipper file with the whole chat historical past of that dialog. However, upon selecting Telegram, the users would get the option to select the contact that they want to map the chat with.
The migration of chats from WhatsApp to Telegram needs to be done carefully, as Telegram does not map the phone numbers or contacts from WhatsApp to Telegram.
However, the mobile messaging app has deferred the update to May after it faced flak over its new privacy policy and terms of service.
