The province faced criticism last month for not having an online registration system ready when the second phase of its age-based vaccination program began after call centres in each health authority were initially overwhelmed.
So far, the Fraser Health region has been the only area where residents could book an appointment online.
The first dose of the vaccine has been given to 87,634 beneficiaries who are within the age group of 45 to 60 years and the second dose has been administered to 1,016 such beneficiaries, he added.
The changes in the vaccine rollout come as B.C.is managing a surge in infections.
