The health unit logged 63 cases on Saturday, 59 cases on Friday and 94 cases on Thursday.
All four cases came from India, via Qatar, and arrived in the country on May 22, the Ministry of Health said.
This is the third day in a row in which Ontario's daily case count has been below 2,000 after a single-day jump on Thursday. North Central 1, which includes communities such as Christopher Lake, Candle Lake and Meath Park, has 23 active cases and North Central 3 has 36 active cases. One case tested out of province have been added to Regina zone.
Of those tested, 78 had had a positive Covid-19 test, nine were probable cases, and 1127 were regarded as "higher risk" people, either due to being front-line health workers or living in Queenstown, which had an outbreak of community cases. Of the 107 reported as receiving in patient care, there are seven in North Central. Of the 25 people reported as being in intensive care, there are two in North Central.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 160, or 13.1 new cases per 100,000 population.
A total of 30 Covid-19-related deaths have been reported: one Eastern Cape death, Free State 5, Gauteng 20, Kwa-Zulu Natal 1 and Western Cape with 3 deaths. These cases are located in the Far North West, 7; Far North East, 7; and North Central, 1.
Sunday morning, Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott took to Twitter to announce that the province has administered 8 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine thus far. The person was over the age of 80 from the south east zone. An extra 167 administered doses are waiting for residence information.
The province is also opening up vaccine eligibility to kids.
Two of the cases are from travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
Regina led the province with 4,498 identified VOCs.
There were no new lineage results to report.
South Africa has recorded 2 893 new coronavirus infections in the last 24-hour cycle, taking the total number to 1 635 465.
Hospitalizations fell to 1,041, however, as is the case on the weekends a number of hospitals have not submitted their data to the province.
