It hasn't been all that long since the sequel was revealed, but how are things going for the game? "And then she created me", ends Echo. Echo is the 32nd hero to be introduced to Blizzard's shooter and 17th damage dealer.
Today, Blizzard Entertainment announced the next Overwatch character, Echo, a robot that possesses extraordinary artificial intelligence.
We don't know when Echo comes out officially, but heroes usually become playable a month after their announcement. This hasn't been shared by Blizzard yet, and there's no guarantee we will get much in the way of warning. While in Duplicate mode, the character Echo is playing will get their own Ultimate faster than they normally would, effectively meaning that players may have to deal with some ridiculous and risky turnarounds from even more powerful characters.
Echo will be available in Overwatch soon, according to Blizzard, so keep an eye out for details on her abilities and playstyle. Dr. Liao was eventually killed, but Echo lived on as part of her greatest work - that's all part of the character's back story, at least. At Blizzcon 2019, Kaplan said the game was in early development.
"If the enemy workforce has a Reinhardt and I am Echo, I can use my final means on Reinhardt, after which for a reasonably vital time frame I get to play as Reinhardt additionally on the battlefield", Kaplan saays within the developer replace video.
For now, catch Overwatch on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It will largely come down to what the rest of her abilities are.
"Choose whether you want Reinhardt's Fire Strike to ignite nearby enemies, or modify his hammer to swing with increasingly blazing speed; modify Mei's Endothermic Blaster so frozen foes take more damage and shatter into deadly ice shards; and more".
Overwatch League pros and talent were excited for the new hero.
