Overnight OnePlus have shared a video via their social media channels that implies that they will be upgrading the wired charging of their device this time around. Oppo introduced similar technology in the Oppo Find X2, and given that OnePlus is under the same parent company, sharing the technology amongst subsidiaries makes sense.
While there hasn't been any official confirmation, this new fast-charging technology could be called Warp Charge 65. Earlier this week, the company had revealed that it would launch the next T-series smartphone on October 14. Recently, a new rumor related to OnePlus 8T had come, according to which the company's fastest fast charging technology will be available in this phone. The link in the teaser can only be viewed on mobile, and it shows a dual-cell charging system with a charge meter that fills up instantly.
With this new charging setup, the OnePlus 8T's 4500mAh batteries will charge to 40% in 10 minutes and all the way to 100% in 39 minutes. In its latest teaser for OnePlus 8T, the company hints that the phone will offer ultra-fast charging speeds. So far, we've seen the 30T Warp Charge technology on its flagship phones.
Given the link between OnePlus and Oppo - and how Warp Charge and Oppo's VOOC Charge has always been the same technology - it's safe to say that this 65W charger is very similar to the 65W Super VOOC charging used in the Oppo Find X2 Pro. At the same time, the dual cell setup found in the OnePlus 8T is being speculated that it can come with more fast charging technology.
Coming to the cameras, the punch-hole selfie camera on the front sports a 16-megapixel sensor. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
As per a recent tip-off, the OnePlus 8T will cost €599 (approximately Rs. 51,500) for the 8GB/128GB variant and €699 (roughly Rs. 60,000) for the 12GB/256GB model.
