Local 10 says the two men from North Carolina entered the Albion Hotel with a 24-year-old female victim from Pennsylvania, but they left without her. The woman was found half-dressed and dead inside her room back on Thursday.
Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, were arrested after security footage allegedly showed them entering Christine Englehardt's South Beach hotel room with her. Collier and Taylor left the room an hour later. If it's proven that the drug they gave her led to her death, they could face a manslaughter or murder charge. However, authorities are not sure if the woman took it willingly or if it was slipped to her secretly.
Once captured wearing the same trousers he's seen wearing in the video, Collier said Taylor gave the woman a "green pill", but according to the report, it was unclear to authorities if she took it willingly or if they believe was slipped to her.
Collier reportedly said the woman was staggering so much that he and Taylor had to help her to her room, where they had sex with her, and she lost consciousness.
The men, both from Greensboro, N.C., are facing charges including burglary, sexual battery and the fraudulent use of a credit card.
The two men then each had sex with the woman, and Collier claims Taylor forced himself on her as she appeared to be unconscious. They used the stolen credit cards at "various locations" in Miami Beach and police said that Taylor was captured on surveillance footage using the victim's credit card at South Beach Liquors. "We don't know if it was fentanyl or some other narcotic", he told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer on Monday. When Taylor was arrested, police found the woman's phone and green pills. Both are being held without bond at a Miami-Dade jail.
Collier and Taylor were seen around Miami last week, and one Twitter user identified them "photobombing" her.
